I hope he&#39;s doing well.<br /><br />My dad had a stroke when I was 17 and it was awful. I can&#39;t say I understand this specifically, but I do have a nephew that I am very involved in and consider him the closest thing to a son to me. My father is a raging racist alcoholic (my family and I are white and my nephew is mixed black and white). I wish my father would be around to see my nephew growing into an awesome little man. I am thankful he has an amazing grandpa on his other side (his father&#39;s side) because I think it is so important. I hope your son can have that same experience.
