I Love You And I'm Leaving Anyway

I was asked to join the TLC Book Tour for Tracy McMillan's new book, I Love You And I'm Leaving You Anyway, and I am so glad that I accepted.  I have only gotten to the second page of the Intro and already find myself nodding my head while relating to her, and chuckling with recognition.  Seeing as how this is a book about a woman who lived a life filled with unhealthy relationships and what it took to get through it all and grow, I am a little disconcerted that already I find that I can relate to her so easily, but, alas, I do, lol.  She and I even look a little alike!  I Googled her out of curiosity because her book doesn't have a photo of her and was taken aback by how similar we look.

I just wanted to take a moment to mention the TLC Book Tour, but more important, I wanted to express that if you are like me (and if you're a single mama and you're reading this then odds are you are), and you are drawn to stories by women that remind you that you are not "alone", that you aren't the only one who has struggles with unhealthy patterns, whether they be with relationships, food, drugs or whatever, then it looks like this is the book for us.  I'm really looking forward to reading the rest of this book.  Something tells me it will be cathartic.
