The Man may have been wracked with personal pain and controversy, but the Music he was, that music made up a huge part of my childhood, teen years, and just overall past in general and I am grateful for having been alive to witness his greatness firsthand. His genius moved me, and I mourn the loss of what seemed to me a gentle, loving and deeply broken spirit.
Rest now, Michael. And may you finally find the Love you so clearly spent your life seeking.
